Created in 1874 as a gift made by the widow of sculptor Elias Robert to etampes of a whole of works of this artist, the museum was installed in the current buildings of the City Hall after the second world war. Since its creation, it is provided with paintings, productions of artists representing various currents of the art of XIX th century : Narcisse Berchère, landscape designer and orientalist; Edouard Béliard, who is attached to impressionism; Felix Giacomotti, academic painter; Louise Abbéma, portraitist and painter of flowers, etc. Collections of fossils of the stampien, geological state of the tertiary era corresponding to the last marine occupation of the Paris basin and the archaeological collections coming from various sites of the area can be found there : Gallo-Roman mosaics of Souzy-la-Briche, Neolithic flint blades of Morigny, etc...

In the medieval collections, the grid out of wrought iron of XII th century of the abbey of Morigny and the religious sculptures coming from the churches of the area can be noticed.

Schedules : Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday from 14h to 17h. Closed on blank holidays. Full rate : 12F; Reduced rate : 6F.

Groups visits on appointment. The museum organizes visits with accompanying notes or sets of themes and various animations for the school children, on appointment.
